ACNielsen: Media And Entertainment
Home site for organization that measures broadcast (and now, Internet) audiences. Probably the most useful resource available from the site is the online access offered to ACNielsen's Consumer Insight magazine which offers glimpses of the vast range of the company's work.

Audit Bureau Of Circulations
Auditor of media vehicles including newspapers, consumer magazines, business and farm titles, trade shows, and, increasingly, the web (the e-Data section is particularly thorough). Site also offers analysis tools and resource guides such as "How To Read An ABC Publisher's Statement."

BPA International
Independent, not-for-profit organization that has produced print circulation audits since 1931. The company now performs audits on a wide range of "new media," including interactive media, "using census data from site log files," email newsletters, databases and integrated media.

ComScore Networks
Marketing consulting firm provides Media Metrix services for measuring Internet audiences. Alongside more general measures such as demographics, browser and ISP data, and analysis of sources and losses of traffic into and out of sites, the Mextrix also provides a proprietary Buying Power Index (BPI) to assess the effectiveness of online activity.
